Airport shuttles at klia2 are easily accessible. If you are staying at a hotel near the airport or in Kuala Lumpur, speak to your hotel to discuss the pickup options available to you.

Free shuttle

If you have arrived at KLIA2 from either an International or domestic destination as transit or connecting passenger and need to transfer to KLIA for an onward flight, the airport offers a FREE airport shuttle 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Look for the purple busses clearly marked ‘FREE SHUTTLE’

The shuttle route is from KLIA – klia2 – Long Term Car Park (LTCP) – KLIA. This service is available at the frequency of every 10 minutes from all stops. Journey time from klia2 to KLIA is approximately 26 minutes which includes a 10 minute stop at the Long term car park (LTCP). Passengers can choose to change bus at LTCP for an immediate departure and airport Marshalls will be able to guide or assist you with this.

The free airport shuttle departs and arrives at Bay A10, Level 1 Transportation Hub, gateway@klia2 and arrives at door 4 level at KLIA.

You may also take the KLIA Expres train from klia2 to KLIA. The journey takes approximately 3 minutes and costs RM2 per way. You also have the option to take a Taxi or use one of the bus operators at RM2.50 each way.

Travel to Kuala Lumpur and beyond

Shuttles by bus are also readily available from klia2 to the centre of Kuala Lumpur or the surrounding areas and tend to be preferred over the KLIA express train as fares are cheaper and the timetable more flexible. Expect a transfer time of around 60-90 minutes depending on how busy traffic is, especially during peak hours.

If your onward destination is somewhere else within Malaysia please make sure your travel arrangements are in order.
